Common questions

Insurance receipts, every session

You receive an official receipt after each appointment, in-home or clinic, ready to submit to your extended health benefits provider. Physiotherapy here is private pay and not covered by OHIP.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

You can book directly. In Ontario, a referral is optional for physiotherapy. Some insurance plans ask for one before they reimburse you, so it's worth checking your plan first.

How far do you travel for in-home visits?

Ariel visits homes in Midtown Toronto and North York. Add your postal code when you book and he'll confirm before your appointment.

What should I wear or bring?

Comfortable clothing that lets you move and gives access to the area being treated, such as shorts for a knee. Bring any surgical notes, imaging reports or medication lists you have.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. For clinic visits, use the link in your Jane confirmation email. For in-home visits, email Ariel.

I'm a healthcare provider. How do I refer a patient?

Email the referral, reason for referral and any relevant reports to contact@arielphysio.com. Ariel contacts the patient to book and, with their consent, sends you progress updates.
